INSP, The Inspirational Network, is announcing The Inspirational Life Awards, the second year for this peoples' choice inspirational awards, along with the category "Inspirational Southern Gospel Album of the Year" and Nominee The Light Crust Doughboys and The James Blackwood Quartet for their 1998 release They Gave The World A Smile: The Stamps Quartet Tribute Album.
The Inspirational Life Awards will be promoted to INSP's 13 million cable households, an additional 17 million broadcast syndication households, and on the Internet. Voting will take place through INSP's web site, http://www.insp.com./, between July 1 and August 31, 1999.
Shortly after INSP voting begins, The Light crust Doughboys and James Blackwood will be debuting their latest CD release, Red River Valley Memories: The Texas Swing Sessions Vol. 2., which is a continuation of their innovative western swing gospel music called by GOSPEL VOICE magazine "...a stroke of genius...an outstanding project." James and The Doughboys will be teaming up in Mesquite, Texas for a historic concert at the new Rodeo City Music Hall in downtown Mesquite.
