Lyndie Moe

Please click on the photos in this section to bring up a larger copy of each.

From Janet:

This little gal and her mother came to the house today for some yodel coaching. We had a wonderful time and she is a really good yodeler.

They are from Emporia Kansas and heard about me from Chelsea Beck.

They have been in contact with me for several weeks and, over the Christmas Holidays, Lyndie sang Santa's Yodeling Song for many shows.

She will tryout for the Johnny High Show tomorrow [Saturday, February 4, 2006].

Just wanted you to have another young yodeler to add to the most popular part of our website. THE KIDS.

Lyndie has quite a background, as revealed by Mrs. Moe in her introductory Email:

Hi Janet.

My name is Cristi Moe and I'm writing you about my daughter, Lyndie.

She can yodel, and has performed "Cowboy’s Sweetheart" many times over the last couple of years. She has been a regular guest at The Music Box Theatre in Kansas, she sang with the Prairie Rose Wranglers, she sang at the Pierce Arrow Theatre in Branson and most recently she sang at a huge charity event in Denver with John O'Hurley as a special guest.

She has also sung the National Anthem at various venues - Wichita State, the Denver Nuggets, the San Antonio Spurs and the Kansas City Royals.

We met Chelsea Beck about a year ago, and Chelsea heard Lyndie sing at Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma. Chelsea came to me that day, said she thought Lyndie has potential, and told me to call you.

[Editor’s note: needless to say, Janet and Lyndie met, and things worked out splendidly.]

Alexandra and Kristi

Alexandra Sampson [on the left] is very good. She is 13 now but her CD was made when she was 11 or so.

She's a good singer and a good yodeler too. She did a show last weekend with Kristi Goldade and they got along beautifully and did a song together.

Hi Paul,

I am sending this letter to you with Valerie's photo.
This was 2000 or 2001 at Fan Fair.  I thought you'd
like to see what she had to say.

Ms. Janet,

How have you been doing lately? Great I hope! You probably don't remember me, as it's been quite a while since I've written you.  I'm Valerie; I met you several years ago at Fan Fair and you gave me wonderful advice and I bought a yodeling tape from you.  I was a huge LeAnn Rimes fan and had heard about you.  I've attached a photo of when I met you.

Anyway, since then I've graduated highschool and moved to Nashville where I now attend Belmont University as a Music Business Management major in the Mike Curb program. :-) I'm loving every minute of it. Through Belmont I get to work at just about anything imaginable, such as the Grammy Awards.  Also, I'm now "kind of" interning for LeAnn...haha...I say it that way because I just help out where I can as a friend.  I've gotten to observe her in the studio and assist at many interesting events such as Fan Fair.  The more I've gotten to know LeAnn, the more amazed I've become at what an absolutely amazing person she is. She's so genuine and caring. I've learned so much from her and respect her greatly for her wonderful ethics and people skills.

Not only have I learned lessons from her, but you also.  You took up so much time with me at Fan Fair that year and encouraged me.  You pointed out that I shouldn't compare myself to the other artists out there, but rather be unique because there isn't a "Valerie" yet.  I'll always remember those lines of advice throughout my career.  Now I've joined ASCAP as a songwriter and publisher. I've also joined NSAI to meet and work with other writers.  I've registered Bodrey Music Publishing as my publishing company in the works. haha I don't know how that'll turn out, but I'm gonna give it a try.  Regardless of how successful I am, I'll always have a long list of people to thank for great advice and you're one of them.

I saw you on one of the recent documentaries of LeAnn on CMT.  I think it was Inside Fame.  Any way, you were great! Have you planned any trips to Nashville lately? I'd love to meet and talk with you again.  I don't believe you were at Fan Fair, but if you were I'm sorry I missed you. I kept meaning to stop by the "Pioneers of Country" booth and ask them about you, but kept forgetting because I was working on some other things around town that week.

Well, I'll let you go for now. You take care!

Sincerely,

Valerie Bodrey

Taylor Holmes

This is Taylor Holmes.  I worked with her in Missouri in April.  Taylor sang a solo yodeling song on the night show and again at the church luncheon.  I was really proud of her.

All of the kids were fun.  I love them all.

Brayden and McKenna

Brayden is 8 and McKenna is 5.  They both yodel.

Brayden is very good for an 8 year old.  Way ahead of the field at her age.

McKenna is also going to be something when she is a little older.  They were both great kids.

Virginia Hesse

Thanks to Virginia's mother, Ms. Lisa Hesse, we have this wonderful picture of the rising star, and three pages listing her status and accomplishments.

These are magnificent, and thank you, Mrs. Hesse, for filling us in.

You can click on the picture above to view its larger version.

Brayden Clark

You never know where we'll end up.  We were in Alabama early this month [May, 2004], so we do get around.

Here is a photo of Brayden Clark. She is 8 years old and lives in Sulligent, Alabama.
